With the guidance and experience offered there she has been able to build a vision to support for families and individuals- aiming to harvest their strengths, build stronger communities, and increase overall well-being. By building her own approach to community service programming, she is able to coach families and individuals in their unique development plans to reach their goals and find their paths to success. She believes in the strengths and abilities that already exist in every family and individual, and seek to harness these strengths to work with clients in their own growth and development. Clients should feel empowered to meet their goals, using her program development skills to offer unique program plans for families and individuals. Darlene L Pevach, Background She found her passion and ambitions for professional pursuits through the guidance of mentors and associates at Mount Royal University in the Child Studies Department. By watching and learning from leadership there, Darlene was able to push through traditional boundaries and create entrepreneurship opportunities to gain experience and add value to the community. She grew up in Foster Care in BC, and moved to Alberta at a young age. An academically strong young student she was able to strategically overcome social and environmental obstacles and barriers, independently navigating young adulthood. When Darlene moved to Alberta, she engaged in the opportunities available to her and eventually began again her University education. Darlene has been a single mother for over ten years. She has two children, a boy and a girl, who have been a light to her life and a challenge to her sanity, as the children we care about can be. Darlene has learnt to effectively raise children on her own, balance co-parenting relationships, and find the time to achieve some of her goals. Darlene has a strong cultural awareness and respect for diversity. Each client working with her program, Pevach Community Consultations, should feel valued and adequate to meet their challenges. Darlene has overcome many obstacles throughout her life, and has always cared about others instinctively. Darlene’s passion is not for self-advancement or personal achievement. Instead, her desire and pursuit is for everyone around her to be successful and to be able to witness the ripple of positive outcomes as a result of her work.
